Do you like the new icon or prefer the old icon?

The old icon is much better, it was amongst the main reason i downloaded the app in the first place, I have it installed on my first home page.

New icon is to has too much going on. I like the simplicity and darker color on the former icon.

The current icon looks terribly UGLY!!
Steve Jobs can get a heart attack looking at this.

Please learn how to make simple yet great looking icons. Look at Air Sharing or Wikipanion for example, they look so clean and 'Apple-ish', whereas the current Dictionary icon feels so old, cheap and amateurish.

It absolutely doesn't do justice to how well the app works, which is a shame as many people would get turned off by the icon itself.

ps: the confirmation code is hard as hell. It's the hardest I've ever encountered so far, seriously, WTF? I just wanna give my suggestion and have to go through all this??

I guess the previous one was designed by a designer, then someone high up there in the team came and said, "hey our icon isn't effective. It doesn't tell this it doesn't tell that." – typical Microsoft people, they understand nothing about simplicity. Everything must be said out loud and as a result it always looks messy. They're just too literal.

I appreciate the feedback. Are you a designer by any chance? I could use one and I would be very grateful if you could come up with a prettier icon. I could also through other work for other projects your way. That being said, sales did seem to improve after the new icon replaced the old one.

I'm sorry about the crazy confirmation codes. The site is a constant target for spambots and this seems to be the only way to keep it at a manageable level.
