fps?

Postby THEFOR2 » Sun Feb 26, 2012 12:43 am

If I create a time-lapse video and watch it in Quicktime, the inspector in Quicktime says the video is 30fps. I have tried different settings in the TimeLapse app for fps, but the final video is always 30fps. Although if I set it for 10fps, then I play the video it looks like an 10fps video. Why?

The 30fps has to do with how the video is post processed and I believe it is an oversight on my part that will be fixed in a future release.
At the same time you are saying that the visual effect is still 10fps so the desired visual effect is preserved, right?

Yes, the effect is there. At least with fps settings under 30. I haven't tried 50fps. But I guess that if I want a timelapse clip included in a final video with a framerate other then 30, the quality will suffer. So I am looking forward to an update.

This should now be resolved in TimeLapse 5.3.
