feature request: save images to dropbox

Post by kjimac » Wed Jun 05, 2013 9:38 pm

I don't even know if Apple allows app developers to bypass the Camera Roll and save directly to Dropbox but if so that would be a HUGE game changer. I'm setting up some long term TL projects spread across great distances so the ability to save to the cloud would mean I could leave them there without having to go periodically to offload images. It would also ensure that the devices memory doesn't fill up.

Granted, this would require the use of WiFi or 3G/4G and therefore possibly interfere with other incoming alerts which may cause problems with the TimeLapse program itself, but seems like there could be work arounds for this as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll add it to my list.

I think this is a great idea too. I would certainly use it.

And just to clarify -- desire is to completely bypass the internal camera roll so as to not fill up disk space on the iOS device. Am sure that opening up the network then causes complications with asking users to go into AirPlane Mode, but hopefully there's a fix that can allow network activity without interfererence from incoming alerts, etc.
