I'm not quite sure I understand the question. Can you provide a little bit more detail on what you are trying to do?

sorry was in a rush, I would like to have my timelapse video saved as a 1080p video, which is 1920x1080 image resolution at 24fps, it this possible I know you have many settings in the app was just asking.. and with the iPhone 4 5 mega pixel camera 1920x1080 is easy to get.

Ok. The limitation is the video encoding. I'm using the iPhone's built in video encoder chip which has many advantages like quality, speed, battery savings and good movie compatibility but has the disadvantage of being limited to 720p HD output.

In general, if you want higher quality or complete control over the final movie, it makes sense to store the individual photos and process those into a movie on a PC. With the photos you can create a super HD movie at the iPhone 4's full camera resolution of 2592x1936.

ahh ok, i forgot the 720p, are you doing that res at least.. one of the things that might be handy for people wanting to do higher res would be to zip up the images on the phone from the app, and have a ftp or drop box where those could be placed, and then the user can grab just that pack, it *can* be a pain at times pulling photos off the phone etc.. and well mass deleting photos can also be painfull, let me ask you has anyone done a build of ffmpeg for iOS ?

btw thanks for your replies..

That could be a good idea. I'll look into the details of creating a single bundle for downloading all the images at once.
Yes, I do believe there are some apps available in the app store that use ffmpeg.
