Stopping at Night Time
I would like to time lapse our snow melting and lake ice melt over a 29 day period. Is there a way to stop the time lapse frames when it is dark outside?

No. At the moment there is no way to do that. That's an interesting idea however and I'll think about if that makes sense as a TimeLaspe feature.
The only option I can think of at the moment is to simply record everything and then edit out the dark parts.

Re: Stopping at Night Time
Yes, I would love this feature as well. I am doing a long term timelapse over several months and would LOVE to be able set up "Wake" and "Sleep" schedules for Timelapse to start/stop taking pictures.
Similarly, I would love to be able to create program and save presets sets such that one preset has one start/stop and interval settings, while another has different start/stop start and intervals settings. On top of that, I would like to then be able to put multiple presets into a que so that when Preset A is done then it will automatically go to Preset B, C, D, etc.

I enthusiastically suggest this idea too. I've been looking at all the iphone time lapse apps and I haven't found one that can shut off at a user set time then restart at another set time automatically (for instance shut off at 6:30pm - restart and continue timelapse recording at 5:30am) for a several day timelapse. An important note is that this should be repeatable so it can work for several days. I hope it makes the list - even as an in-app purchase.

I have done a few time lapses elsewhere and with jpg they are smaller when there is no light and the image is all black, so you can sort by size and remove the smallest files.bobwoz225 wrote:What program do I use to edit my time lapse video? I also have my own use for that, I could write a program for windows/mac to do the same thing if you are interested.
